Biography

Farjad, Farid (1938-)

Violinist, composer, and arranger of compositions for the violin and for the orchestra, both instrumental and accompanied by vocals. He completed his education at the National Conservatory of Music in Tehran and worked in  Tehran Radio and Television orchestras in his youth. Although most of Farid Farjad’s compositions were played without his name being mentioned, this has done nothing to diminish their popularity among people. He moved abroad in the early 1980s and has since continued his musical activities outside Iran. Besides composition, he also performed at the Golha orchestra as an instrumentalist during the 1970s. A number of his CD albums have been released outside Iran.
